Dear Colleagues and Friends,

As this year draws to a close, we look forward to continuing to support you as much as we can in these extraordinary times.

So much has happened, so much has changed for all of us, the way we work, the ways in which we collaborate and communicate, all of us have had to make serious adjustments to grapple with the reality of this global pandemic.

Despite everything, the one thing that makes it all worth it for us is the notion that we as UNFSU Executive can serve all of you.

Receiving words of encouragement and thanks from those that we’ve helped in some way or form this year to deal with issues or difficult situations, having a positive impact, resolving disputes and proposing solutions that makes your lives just a little bit more bearable while you have been unable to see your families and loved ones for prolonged periods of time is indeed very gratifying.

This year we have reached out and connected with so many of you through our various engagement initiatives and platforms, we will continue to do so while always looking to improve our services to you.

Our UNFSU committees in the various missions have also been instrumental in making sure that your wellbeing and general conditions of service are examined with the aim to improve them where needed and where possible.

Our motto continues to be #StrongerTogether, moving forward next year we will continue to work towards unity and close collaboration with all of you and also establish partnerships that serve all of us.

Together we can make a difference.

For those of you who will not be able to be at home with family, loved ones and friends this year, we hope that you will support your colleagues in the missions’ you work in and together enjoy some good times in collegial and friendly spirits, to ring in the new year with hopes for a better a year and a better future not just for us, but for the people we serve in the countries we work and indeed for humanity.

Wishing you all a peaceful, but above all healthy holiday season, and looking forward to serving you all next year.

Kind Regards,

Mark, Leila, Liliya and Rosa
